Grades are based on Research Paper or final (Research Paper unless told otherwise - this will be decided per class with teachers’ discretion). The more you learn the more you know! AND the higher you’re graded. A 2 page (or a bit more if necessary) research paper on a dimension of wellness that will increase awareness (with 3 resources) or something discussed in class (such as the absorption of nutrients in an athletic body versus sedentary). Teach Me Something for a Good Grade. Send an email to approve your topic, you may include a breif outline (5-7 bullets organizing your paper) if necessary. You will then present your paper in the last few weeks of class. All grades will be given the 1 week before the last day of class and may be discussed.
The last 30-45 minutes of class will be dedicated towards specialized movement. This may include exercise testing or specific study of movement.
Each paragraph should consist of 5-7 sentences with proper grammar and spelling. This aids in the reader and writers organization of ideas and application of information. The paper should have an introduction, body, and conclusion. To make the paper reputable it should have a study (optimally double blind peer reviewed with over 50 people) and reputable resources such as doctors studying the topic for an extended length of time and/or an organization specializing in the topic. Each piece of information should be notes with a number or name to recognize the specific (as detailed as possible so I can find the original works) resource.
